Improved Design of NG Engine Valve Seat

As the world's oil resources become increasingly tense, natural gas is used a lot. The material of the valve seat should not only be wear-resistant and heat-resistant, but also the matching valve should not produce abnormal wear. When the engine is working, the temperature of the valve seat can reach 500~800°C. because there is no self-lubricating property, the valve and the valve seat are in a dry friction state, which easily causes the wear of the valve seat.

By analyzing the wear mechanism of the valve seat of the gas engine, the material of the valve seat is improved and the angle of the valve seat is changed. The improved valve seat is subjected to a durability assessment test in a North American generator, and confirmed to be effective according to the test results.
